Maria on TV!
Watch Maria on SoapTalk with Days of Our Lives Lisa Rinna (Billie) and One Life To Live's Ty Treadway. Maria is in Los Angeles the Oct. 13th taping the daily talk show for cable's SoapNet. It will be televised all over the country. She will be giving predictions for the SoapStars from All My Children, General Hospital and of course her favorite soap, Days of Our Lives! Be sure to check your local listings. Maria's segment will air sometime during the week of the 14th.
The Body, Mind and Spirit Festival
In September I was a guest speaker in Detroit at the popular BMS Festival. We had a great turnout and met many wonderful people. Thanks to everyone who stopped by out table to say hello!
Florida Visit
I will be in Ft Lauderdale October 17-20 so all of my Florida friends may see me at the Sage (Jane's wonderful restaurant) on Thursday night for a lecture and presentation. The Pisces Crisis and Virgo Curse

Occasionally I will be writing articles for you to read about new age topics. Here's this month's piece.
All you Virgo and Pisces will appreciate this one!
You've heard me often joke I wouldn't want to come back as a Pisces or Virgo. They are the hardest signs to be. Some astrologers would agree. Others would say we all have our crosses to bear. It seems Virgos and Pisces have more than their fair share. Over the past ten years counseling thousands of people, I feel these two opposite signs always have some issue they must deal with it. Their lives are like real life soap operas and the story lines even better than Days of Our Lives!
Pisces are often the victims. They feel guilty a lot and can be taken advantage of because of their kind nature. They feel empathy for others. Pisces get lost in daydreams too. They love to escape and not deal with the harsh realities of the world.
Virgos are victims too, but in a different way. Their lesson on this earth plane is to be of service to others. Often, they are ones that help, promote, give and then get stepped on.
Hey, it doesn't have to be this way!
I'd like to share some ideas and thoughts with you on how to overcome the Virgo Curse and the Pisces Crisis.
Both signs are healers. Pisces are understanding and empathetic. That's how they offer healing. Virgos try to be helpful and offer assistance and advice. What these healers need to learn is how not to heal! So all you Virgos and Pisces that can't help but jumping in the fire to martyr yourself, listen up! If you step in on someone's else problem, YOU take on their karma. It's insulting to a person's soul if you try to heal them without their permission. Everyone can heal. So who died and left you in charge of healing the world?
I shouldn't be so harsh but these two signs can't help it. They are there for everyone and then usually get dumped, hurt or wounded then wonder "why me? I am such a good person!" Yes, you are Pisces and Virgo. But you need to ask permission to heal and help. When you do this, you change the energy of the relationship and won't take on anyone else's karma.
Because Pisces are like sponges they soak everything in including other people's anger, emotions, illness and attitudes. It's important for this sign to build up some sort of protective shield. Pisces is the sign associated with dreaming. Sleeping is essential for this sign and when they don't get enough sleep, they are apt to daydream to escape the world. Virgo find it hard to sleep. They are so focused on the everyday details, they can't sleep much.
Plus Virgo think nothing's perfect so they're always trying to make things perfect. Pisces want to believe that everything's perfect or will be.
When Virgo allows for a flaw or a problem then Divine energy can work its magic in their life. Nothing is perfect, except for God. Let the imperfection in Virgo...then life is truly perfect. You're not competing with God. Let things flow. When Native American weave baskets, they purposely leave a flaw in the basket so as not to compete with the Great Spirit. They are recognizing they are human and not Divine. Virgo needs to realize this and let go of needing perfection.
Virgo needs to learn to surrender and do more Pisces things. Since the sign of Virgo rules work and service to others, many just work. They don't leave room in their lives for anything else. If all you're doing is working then life in the body must be a drag. You need to bring some Piscean quality into your life to have fun. You need more down time to do nothing and get more sleep. If you're so caught up in doing mundane things; like paying bills, running errands and cleaning, you're not living. Learn to get lost in a daydream, dance, read, party, enjoy a candlelight dinner and learn to play again.
Astrologers always joke about Virgo being clean and nit picky. We're not just talking about physically clean but Virgos want to be mentally, emotionally and spiritually clean too. They worry about everything. Worry is the opposite of wonder. So Virgo, rather than worry about something, try switching to wonder. Rather than agonizing about a messy kitchen, say "I wonder how I'll get it picked up". This approach offers you more opportunities to solve problems
Work is meditation for Virgo. Even if they won a million dollars and were set for life, without work, Virgos have no self-esteem. They must work to feel good about themselves. That search for perfection holds them back from doing things. If they don't know enough about a topic, they won't take a chance on it. Take a chance and just let things flow, like a Pisces would.
On the other hand, Pisces have no boundaries that's why people walk all over them. Pisces need to set up boundaries in their life and tell people "no". We talked about Pisces soaking in negative energies but they also have the abilities to soak in positive energies too, So instead of hanging out with people with a lot of problems, Pisces should run with energetic, happy ambitious and successful people. They'll soon find their life is following the same course.
Music art and drama inspire a Pisces. It lifts the spirits. Pisces need things to lift their spirits. That's why many are known to drink and why alcohol is called "spirits" Alas, it's only a temporary fix, so Pisces by all means, should avoid using negative escapism to solve problems. Pisces also smother people. It's addiction versus devotion. Pisces can work on healing their addiction by using Virgo techniques. Force yourself to put up boundaries, get into the mundane part of life. Put structure in your life by organizing your office and committing to a daily routine. Keep yourself busy so you don't get lost.Demand more perfection. Analyze more rather than work off emotions.
Focus more on detail and learn to get mad. Pisces needs to use the Virgo traits when taking care of the body. Virgo are meticulous when it comes to healthy eating, vitamins and doctors appointments. Pisces need to find a strict regimen they can work with like the Virgos, Pisces is the one sign that really needs to take care of the body because it is like a sponge.
Because both of these signs are "the helpers" of the Zodiac, they first need to learn to "help themselves." Stop and think before you get involved in someone's else's problems, "Am I helping a person to fulfill a need in myself? Do I really want to take on this karma and problem? Will I be interfering with this person learning a spiritual lesson? If you answer yes to any one of these questions, then turn and walk away. Replace the guilt and worry. Busy yourself with an activity your opposite sign may engage in. Virgo, watch a romantic movie like a Pisces would do to escape. Pisces clean out your closets with the enthusiasm of a Virgo. It will help you deal with the feeling that you need to do something. We can learn a lot from our astrological opposite. There is way out of the Pisces Crisis and Virgo Curse!
