Love Predictions for 2003
By Maria Shaw I just shot a segment for the nationally syndicated show Blind Date when they filmed in Detroit. If you haven't seen the show, two strangers are set up on a blind date and a camera crew follows them around town to see if they make a love connection. I eyed the couple coming up the sidewalk as I waited inside the Old Town Pump in downtown Detroit. Didn't look like a match made in heaven. In fact, Anasia was flirting with the cameraman and Derick was left walking a few feet behind. She was a Leo and he a Sagittarius (no wonder she took the lead!) My role was that of relationship expert/astrologer and I was to give the couple a "love" reading based on their birth charts. I didn't need to look any further in the charts to see this date was going nowhere. I quietly took the head producer aside and half-jokingly asked "Do you want me to lie or tell the truth?" "Oh by all means tell the truth, she shot back. We need to do something to get these people interacting. They're not even looking at each other!" I told her not to worry. I'd have them hugging in no time. Anasia and Derick sat down at my table and we made our introductions. With cameras rolling, I proceeded to tell them about the compatibility in their charts and what each needed in love. They were interested and amazed as I hit on some past love issues they individually had experienced. "This is scary, Anasia said. You're right on!" Now the estranged couple was looking a little more relaxed. So I had them stand up and do a chakra balancing exercise with special attention directed to the heart chakra. They were instructed to help each other with the exercise and then hug after. Skeptical at first, Derick was now joking and much more open by the time we worked on his heart chakra. Anasia likewise, was more vivacious and friendly toward Derick. As the camera crew wrapped up, the two stood closer together and shared a few laughs. It was amazing to see how working with the couples' energy field, just for a few minutes, changed the entire mood. I still don't know the final outcome of the date. We'll all find out in March when the segment airs. The combination of Mars and Venus may make or a break a relationship early this year but it's not until after August that Cupid's arrow really strikes. It may hit more than once. You'll be meeting lots of earthy signs who have much to offer with similar needs as yours. However, Bulls find themselves over analyzing love. The head battles the heart. Stop worrying. The Twins are on the tail end of a challenging two and a half year cycle of Saturn. Pluto, the planet of transformation has been opposing the Gemini sun for a while now, creating all sorts of twists and turns in the most intimate relationships. Close ties have been tested. Many Gemini have or are currently going thru separation and divorce. Others are dealing with losses of loved ones. Understand this; solid relationships will still be around come June.
