The study of karma, past lives and fate has become increasingly popular. Many of the seminars I do around the country, focus on some sort of fulfillment of destiny and soul lessons. We all have certain talents and opportunities we choose to expand on when we reincarnate. There are also challenges and obstacles we need to overcome for our soul's growth. Even though I'm an astrologer, I also use numerology to help unlock some of the secrets of the soul. This formula I'm sharing with you is quite interesting. For it points out obstacles on the life path that may interfere with achieving your destiny. Some of you may have several obstacles. Others may have just one. Some may have none. Imagine that!

With this numerology theory we use your name given at birth. The spelling of your name lends itself to a certain vibration. Each letter in your name has a numerical value. Each number has a special meaning. If you lack certain numbers in your name these "missing numbers" represent karmic lessons. They create obstacles that must be overcome in this lifetime to help you fulfill your destiny. The challenges can be overcome if you are aware of them.

Let's begin. First write your name, exactly as it appears on your birth certificate. Next, using the following diagram, put the matching number under each letter. You do not add these together. All you want to do is see what numbers are missing. A missing number (vibration) points to your life's obstacle that must be overcome for the advancement of the soul.

Karmic Lesson 1
You need to stand up for yourself more. Don't let others walk all over you. One needs to develop more courage and ambition. Become a leader. Work on self confidence issues. Be more independent and less reliant on others.

Karmic Lesson 2
Relationships are something you will need to work hard on in this lifetime. Cooperation, team efforts and an unselfish attitude will help you on your path to spiritual fulfillment. Be open to trusting others more.

Karmic Lesson 3
Communication is your buzzword. Learn to be more open with your thoughts and feelings. Write, read, talk to others. If you hold everything inside, you are not growing as a person. Group and social activities are a must for your soul's advancement.

Karmic Lesson 4
Discipline and structure are important in this lifetime. One must work with schedules and a daily routine for life to run smoothly. Learning how to save and manage money is crucial. In this lifetime, you need to get organized!

Karmic Lesson 5
Be more open to change. Go with the flow. Roll with the punches. Don't allow yourself to get stuck in a rut. Allow opportunity and change to happen. You should be constantly learning new things. Avoid negative people and don't be afraid to take risks.

Karmic Lesson 6
One needs to create a balance between work and family life. You need to be aware that money is not everything; that people and relationships are important. At different times in your life, the universe will put you in a position you'll be forced to choose between those you love and career responsibilities.

Karmic Lesson 7
Your spiritual self needs to be developed. You must always choose to work from a higher level. Believe in a Higher Source. Don't be too logical. Realize magic exists in the world and within you. Trust the unknown and unexplainable.

Karmic Lesson 8
When you gain power, don't misuse it. For instance you could become a very famous figure, a boss or authority, a business owner or parent. Make sure you always use your power for the highest good of society and mankind. Do not manipulate situations selfishly. Learn to manage money and business wisely.

Karmic Lesson 9
Be careful of having a self-righteous attitude. Be open to giving and serving others. You may find the lessons of the previous numbers showing up in your life. Look at every obstacle or challenge as an opportunity for your soul's growth. Don't dodge responsibility.

Most everyone will have a 1 and 5 in their name numbers. The most missing numbers are 7 and 8. Also you should look to see if you have a number that shows up several times. An abundance of any number means you are carrying that number's characteristics. It can either be a very good thing or perhaps a downfall, depending on the number itself.
