Events and Happenings
My new book Soul Mates and Cell Mates is out! It was a chore to get it done during the mercury retrograde! But after much editing, scrambling to find the correct headshot for the cover photo and rearranging pages, the book is out! As many of you know I have been traveling all across the country this past year doing workshops called "Soul Mates: Past Lives and Present Loves." This new book includes a lot of what I lectured on in the workshops as well as some new "stuff." This is a fun book but also informative. It provides the reader with a deeper look at the theory of soul mates. Also included is a meditationÊ CD which is modeled after the meditation we do in the national seminar called "Discover Your Soul Mate."

October 4th - I will be at the Body, Mind and Spirit Festival in Warren MI (Detroit area) at the Macomb Sports and Expo Center. I will be speaking on the main stage around 4p.m. Also I will have a booth there too. Please stop by and say hello. It's always good to meet up with old friends! My new books and some copies of the Heart & Soul and The Enchanted Soul will also be available.
OctoberÊ4 & 5 - Psychic Fun fair at the Under the Sun in Bay City. Call 989-667-5380 for details. I will be there on Sunday only but the rest of the ladies will be there both days. 10a.m. to 5p.m. Aura readings and photos Saturday only by Pete and Dara from the Lighthouse.
October 10 - I'll be in New Orleans at the East Meets West Bookstore 7p.m. doing a free lecture and promoting Soul Mates and Cell Mates. Thanks to Carol who has so graciously booked me to visit!
October 11 - Don't miss our first National Fair!!!! In New Orleans of course....The Quality Hotel on the Causeway in Metairie, LA. We have some of the best of the best local Louisiana readers as well as great psychics flying in from all over the country to meet with folks. Aura photography will also be available by the Lighthouse's Dara and Pete. Look for some of the coolest vendors from around the country too. Keith and André will be there from the Olde Victorian Inn/Miss Celie's French Quarter Spa doing facials and massages. If you're a client of mine outside of the New Orleans area and have always wanted to visit this amazing city, why not plan to come down this weekend and visit us and see the sights! You'll have a friend in town! Maria Shaw's National Psychic Fairs are co-produced by myself, Clay Michael and Peggy Gelpi.

Maria Shaw's Psychic Fairs - A Family Affair

This is a lovely article by a talented reporter/journalist from the Lansing, MI area who recently did a story on our fairs. It is reprinted with her permission. Trudy is such a gifted reporter and a nice person. She's a Libra!
Families seem to come in many forms these days, but one would be hard pressed to find another one as warm and inviting as the family you will find at Maria Shaw's Psychic Fairs.
Today's psychic fairs are not the crystal balls and smoke and mirrors concept of the media. Instead, one will find honest and open intuitives offering guidance to those who are seeking a greater understanding of their own gifts and potential in this life. After 9-11 many found themselves feeling hopeless. This hopelessness became a spiritual 9-1-1 for many and a quest to find answers and a sense of hope in a time that left many feeling lost and afraid. Looking for reassurance many began to look in places that they had never considered in the past for that hope.

I sat in on one of Bonnie's talks and was amazed at how much I didn't know about things that affect, help and hinder our general well being. Bonnie is a lively, inspiring speaker and an author. She beat cancer years ago when all odds were against her and she'll tell you how she did it. Bonnie will also have an important handout for the audience that gives them tips and advice on healthy living. You must come to this workshop. It will make a difference in your life! The information is priceless and you will fall in love with this "Grand Dame of New Orleans".

A friend wanted to read one of your books to review for the magazine, she
went nuts. She came back with the book for me to scan and informed me that I
could not have it back. She found out I had the other one of yours and
grabbed it too. She loves the way you write and is telling everyone she
comes in contact with about you. I hope to have the opportunity to read them
as well when I can snatch them back from her. Needless to say they will be
reviewed in the next two issues.

About a month ago there was a woman standing by the mall entrance passing out flyers to all the women going in. The woman had written the flyer herself to tell about an experience she had, so that she might warn other women.
The previous day, this woman had finished shopping, went out to her car and discovered that she had a flat. She got the jack out of the trunk and began to change the flat. A nice man dressed in a business suit and carrying a briefcase walked up to her and said, "I noticed you're changing a flat tire. Would you like me to take care of it for you?" The woman was grateful for his offer and accepted his help. They chatted amiably while the man changed the flat, and then put the flat tire and the jack in the trunk, shut it and dusted his hands off.
The woman thanked him profusely, and as she was about to get in her car, the man told her that he left his car around on the other side of the mall, and asked if she would mind giving him a lift to his car. She was a little surprised and she asked him why his car was on the other side. He explained that he had seen an old friend in the mall that he hadn't seen for some time and they had a bite to eat and visited for a while; he got turned around in the mall and left through the wrong exit, and now he was running late and his car was clear around on the other side of the mall.
The woman hated to tell him "no" because he had just rescued her from having to change her flat tire all by herself, but she felt uneasy. Then she remembered seeing the man PUT HIS BRIEFCASE IN HER TRUNK before shutting it and before he asked her for a ride to his car. She told him that she'd be happy to drive him around to his car, but she just remembered one last thing she needed to buy. She said she would only be a few minutes; he could sit down in her car and wait for her; she would be as quick as she could be.
She hurried into the mall, and told a security guard what had happened; the guard came out to her car with her, but the man had left. They opened the trunk, took out his locked briefcase and took it down to the police station. The police opened it. What they found was rope, duct tape, and knives. When the police checked her "flat" tire, there was nothing wrong with it; the air had simply been let out. It was obvious what the man's intention was, and obvious that he had carefully thought it out in advance.
I'd like you to forward this to all the women you know. It may save a life. A candle is not dimmed by lighting another candle. I was going to send this to the ladies only; but guys, if you love your mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, etc., PLEASE BE SAFE AND NOT SORRY! |
