Hi StarScopes Subscriber,
We had a great time on our bi-annual cruise on Monarch of the Seas! Our speakers were enlightening and informative.
Everyone loved Bonnie Broel's important information on the Harmonic
Concordance and her tips about healthier living. Carol Ball channeled Jacob who
had unique spiritual messages for many audience members. We are still talking
about how impressive Carol's session was! Peggy Gelpi delighted us with her "How
to Live and Enchanted Life" session and was highly visible as her alter ego-Joy
Bubble, the beloved Love Fairy. Clay Michael gave us all something to think about
in his manifestation talk. Many of you walked away with a new way of looking at
achieving your goals, realizing nothing is impossible if we truly want to accomplish
something. Thanks also to everyone who turned out for my workshop on soul mates.
I hope you all had a good time and look forward to sharing more experiences and
ports of call in years to come!
It looks like we are planning another cruise for 2004, instead of skipping year. l'll
have more news soon. Probably will fly out of New Orleans or Florida and possibly
go for 7 days....late November, after Thanksgiving or the first of December.

Numerology Holiday Gift Giving
Do The Math to Find the Perfect Present!
Copyright Maria Shaw 2003
Gift ideas based on birth numbers to please your partner!
With the holiday season upon us, you may be wondering what to buy your sweetie or even those friends
who have everything. Numerology can help you pinpoint a person's likes and dislikes. Each number is associated
with certain personality traits. Just as you are born under a specific zodiac sign, you have a birth number that
determines your personality too. Do the formula for you and your friends and it may make your shopping list a
little easier and the recipient very happy. No more return lines and recycled presents if you follow the numbers for
the perfect gift!
Formula to determine someone's birth number:
- Write the day, month and year of birth. For example: if you were born October 12, 1985, write:
10/12/1985
- Add the numbers in three separate parts (month, date, and the year)
Example: Month 1+0= 1 Day 1+2 = 3 Year 1+9+8=5= 23
- Add the three totals together:
1+3+23 = 27
- Reduce the final number to a single digit of 9 or less:
27 is 2+7=9
The birth number for October 12, 1985 is the number 9
*Numbers eleven and twenty-two are called master numbers. If your final number
is 11 or 22, don't reduce it to a single digit.
Gift Ideas
Number One - Whatever you buy for a number one, a bit of thought
and care must go into the gift. The presentation should be
spectacular; the frilliest of bows and ribbons, the most beautiful of
paper. Part of the appeal is how the gift is presented. A One's favorite
part of the holiday is opening THEIR gifts. The bigger or more
expensive, the better. They want unique and hard to find items. Ones
appreciate if someone goes out of their way to find the perfect gift.
Anything cheap or an old fruitcake won't do. You may get it back next
year!
- A gift certificate to their favorite restaurant
- Monogrammed or personalized pieces
- Designer duds
- Luxurious sheets and Pajamas
- Their favorite cigars
- Expensive wine
- The Neiman Marcus Holiday catalog with a gift certificate
- A scrap book or collage of their achievements, awards and photos.
Have it framed to hang in their office or den. It reminds them how
special they are!
Number Two - Twos like to give as much as receive. These are the
hoarders and collectors. They already have everything and therefore
may be difficult to buy for. But Twos keep almost anything you give
them. They are do-it-yourself people so craft items, helpful household
appliances and utensils are good choices. Twos understand the
importance of good health and physical fitness. Although most Twos
aren't athletic types, they enjoy staying in shape. Gym memberships,
nutrition books, massage appointments, and perhaps yoga classes
are great gift ideas.
- Any new household gadget
- Antiques
- Interesting photo frames
- A day of pampering at a salon
- Fruit basket
- Items to enhance the beauty of their home
- Decorative items
- Craft Making kits
Number Three - These are people who appreciate whatever you give
them. Bright, social and friendly, Threes are also young at heart. They
adore the holidays! Threes love to learn new things too. I would
suggest any type of gift that aids in their quest for knowledge and
thirst for adventure. These folks are the best communicators of all the
numbers. Heaven help anyone who takes away their phone line or
wheels!
- Books
- Movie tickets
- Writing and correspondence items
- Computer stuff
- Cell phone
- Long distance phone cards
- Gas cards
- Journal and diary
- Crossword puzzles
- Subscription to their favorite magazine
- Adult games and toys
Number Four - Fours are family people. They are the salt-of-the-earth types who often grow up in a community and never leave. They
are attached to the place they call home. Many are patriotic and
nostalgic. Because Fours tend to be reserved and conventional, you
should never buy them gag gifts, useless items or anything X-rated.
They would much rather receive something practical. Let them know
what a great deal you got on their present and they'll love it even
more! Although Fours enjoy the tradition of holiday gift giving, they
deplore really expensive or frivolous items.
- Useful stuff for the home
- Antiques
- Sentimental items
- A nice card
- Kitchen gadgets
- Cookbooks
- Videos of old movies
- Things to help them organize their time
- A watch
- Gadgets for their car
Number Five - Fives are here to enjoy life. Whatever gift you give
them, they will find a use for and enjoy. They are adventurous and
interesting types of people. They love to travel and are open to trying
new and unique things. They enjoy the holidays, especially socializing.
Some Fives don't have a lot of money so you should never compare
what they spend on your gift to what you pay for theirs. They buy on
a whim and give some of the most unusual and cool gifts.
- Sporting event tickets
- Hobby kits
- Margarita kits
- Trip to Vegas or a local casino
- Toys
- Art work
- Theater tickets
- Hand held electronic games and palm pilots
Number Six - Sixes work a lot so they don't have much time to buy
presents and often feel obligated to purchase them. Make it easy on
the Six. Tell him exactly what you want and where to buy it . Give them
gift certificates and items to make their hectic life easier. Sixes need
to slow down so they can enjoy the holidays. These people are
sometimes workaholics so time is of essence. If you could bottle time
and give it to a Six, you'd have found the perfect gift. Otherwise,
choose your gift carefully. Sixes don't have time to stand in the return
lines.
- Maid service
- Promise to run some errands
- Date and appointment book
- A new watch
- A leather briefcase
- Nice set of luggage
- Weekend getaway
- Answering service
- Anything for the office
- Closet organizers
- Restaurant certificates
- Relaxation and meditation CDs
Number Seven - Sevens will appreciate romantic things and those
gifts that have sentimental quality. Sevens take gift-giving very
seriously. The thought and effort in the exchange is very important. If
you're in a relationship with a Seven, don't buy them something
practical. No granny flannel pajamas! Only silk or satin will do. Long
after the holidays have passed, Sevens will still be enjoying your
present. They never throw away anything with sentimental value.
- Silk sheets
- Scented Candles
- Aromatheraphy
- Bath and body items
- An exotic vacation
- Jewelry
- A special framed photo
- Concert tickets to see their favorite singer
- A romantic evening
Numb er Eight - Many Eights prefer quality over quantity. You don't
necessarily have to think BIG in terms of size when buying an Eight's
gift. Good things come in small packages; like a gold watch or
bracelet. Eights would rather get one extraordinary gift than a lot of
"junk". They know the value of things because they are astute
shoppers and connoisseurs. If you can't afford their champagne taste
on your beer budget, here's a few ideas that's sure to please even
the most discriminating Eight. (However, if you're willing to splurge,
we've got a few suggestions).
- Gucci anything!
- A bottle of fine champagne
- Turkish bath towels and robe
- Cruise tickets
- Lottery tickets
- Crystal
- Wine glasses
- A Louis Vuitton key ring
- Godiva chocolates
- Nice perfume and cologne
- Gift certificates to their favorite store
- Tickets to a play
- Wallet or purse
- Jewelry
- Gourmet Food Basket
Number Nine - Nine is a spiritual number. These folks are usually not
concerned with worldly possessions. They appreciate the simple
things in life and often look for a deeper meaning to the holiday
season. Since Nine is a number that wants for little, they look forward
to the thought behind the gift and enjoy just spending time with those
they love. The gift of your time or your presence makes them happy.
Many are interested in the occult and embracing a higher power or
spiritual source.
- Spiritual or astrology reading
- Travel vouchers
- Religious artifacts
- Charitable donations in their name
- Take them to lunch
- Plan a day to get to together and sight see
- An art class
- Astrology/Moon calendar
- Books
- Music/CDs
- Aromatheraphy Oils
Number Eleven - Eleven is a highly evolved, spiritual master number.
It's one of the numbers you do not reduce and has special qualities
all its own. These people have great intuitive powers and inner
strength. Many Elevens experience a lot of stress in their everyday
lives as they try to be everything to everyone. When it comes to
finding the right gift, you should choose carefully for an Eleven. Find
out as much about them as you can; their dreams, hopes wishes and
goals. Some Elevens appear cool and aloof and difficult to get to
know. But once they open up, they are a most loyal and trusted
friend. Elevens will tell you whatever you buy them is perfectly fine.
But for a truly special present, dig a little deeper into their psyche.
- Chakra balancing kit
- Meditation tapes
- Their favorite music on CD
- Spa treatments
- Favorite movies on video
- A basket of their favorite snacks and munches
- A statue of Buddha, an angel or a religious figure for their home
- Crystal or gemstone jewelry
Number Twenty-Two - Twenty Twos have a special and unique energy
all their own. They, like the Elevens, are a master number They
combine all of the likes and dislikes of all other numbers. So it may be
easy to choose from any one of the gift categories. One of the nicest
gifts you can give a Twenty-two is not man-made. The best gift is
support. Support their dreams and ambitions. Lend a hand where
help is needed. Volunteer to be there. Pitch in. Be their cheerleader.
If you must wrap a present here's few ideas:
- Donations in their name
- Daily Affirmation guides or calendars
- Jewelry pieces with significant meaning
- Flowers and plants
- Goose down pillows and comforters
- Cozy, comfy clothing
- Gifts items that embrace different cultures; Orientals pieces, French
artwork, etc.
- Anything on the other numbers' lists
In conclusion, the best gift-giving idea is to give of yourself. Spend
time with those you love or care about. In these hectic times, we
forget to make that phone call, politely turn down a party invitation,
put off lunch 'til another day. We all have good intentions to spend
more time with friends and family but time passes and then days turn
into months and then into years. Sometimes we lose touch with our
dear ones. Give yourself a gift this holiday season as well as those
you cherish; spend more time with those you love. Sharing special
moments and creating lasting memories are gifts that keep on giving.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Kwannza, Happy Hanukah!
Maria Shaw
P.S. Try and get your shopping done before December 17th. Mercury
retrograde starts then. So if your purchase gifts after the 17th, its a
good bet they'll be returned.

Problems with getting my newsletters?
We're having more and more problems with email providers blocking us, as we are suspected of sending spam around with this email letter. If you miss out on any future issues (currently AOL, .cs, worldnett.att.net members and even some MSN addresses are a huge trouble here) ask your email provider to UNBLOCK this newsletter address. AOL members need to phone the AOL Postmaster Hotline at 1-703-265-4670 or 1-888-212-5537 and ask them to get us on the whitelist. (And then they are first going to monitor our email behavior. :-) )
Each week we are sending the non deliverables on to Rich who takes great pains in getting the email newsletter to you but, boy, it is almost becoming unmanageable with the current anti-spam politics. We're suffering both ways now. From the spam and from the blockades. Please note that if you miss out on any future issue, this may be because YOUR provider has blocked our email address. What can you do? Ask your provider to unblock this newsletter email address immediately...for this is not an unsolicited bulkmail but a much wanted one. :-)
