Between now and the 3rd week of October, Jupiter is squaring Saturn so you may feel as if there are plenty of tough obstacles in your path. Most of this may be due to the fact that you are trying to do too much or already have a plate full of responsibilities but are trying to take on even more! What are you thinking? I have found myself doing just that this past week and feeling quite overwhelmed. I ended up going to bed at 6:30p.m. one night and doing nothing! I felt bad because I had things that needed to be completed but I just couldn't push myself anymore. Think about it....what are you doing that you can put off? Why are you putting too much on your plate? Is it really necessary? Or are others expecting too much out of you and you hate to let them down?

You may have to learn to say "no" this month and not take on anything more until you finish what you already have on your plate!

For many of us, this feeling will linger way past October and may be something we will be working on way into the spring of 2007. At least, you are aware now of what you need to do to make life a little simpler.

We have another mercury retrograde coming up October 28th and lasting through November 17th. It is in the sign of Scorpio this time. So Scorpio, Taurus, Leo and Aquarius will be most affected.

With election day around the corner, falling within the mercury retrograde, you can bet there will be some miscommunication and even deception running rampant. Results may not be readily available and be delayed for days, if not until after November 17th. Remember what happened during the mercury retrograde when Bush and Gore ran for president?

Also...Do you remember last year when I predicted housing prices would drop by this fall? They certainly have and will continue to fall into 2007. If you are looking to purchase your dream home, these next few years could be the perfect time to do so! If you are hoping to sell a property, you should be prepared for it to sit on the market unless the asking price is a considered a real steal and then too...it could sit a while. You will need to get very creative in promoting it to perspective buyers. This is meant for areas all over the country, even the places that have traditionally been hot markets for sellers. My south Florida clients are reporting that their properties have been sitting for months! In the past years, those properties were flipping like crazy! Hearing from someone in Manhattan, who is planning to purchase an apartment there; her realtor told her to wait a few months because prices would be dropping.

Next month, I will write an article on Jupiter going into the sign of Sagittarius...a very lucky period for all of you fire signs out there and many who have Sagittarius in a prominent place in your charts. For Scorpio - enjoy the next month because many planets will be in your sign. This October and November are truly your months to shine!

I called in Sunday night, Jason from Bancroft..... asking about my new girlfriend Thank you for your comments and I really enjoy the show. I found the brief segment on animal totems interesting. You specifically mentioned frogs, after thinking about it I have recently had a number of green tree frogs take up residence by my side door, sometimes I even have to let them out of the house! Wonder if this is a new animal totem for me! I have always been a dog person. Just thought I would share my recent experience with frogs.

Dear Maria,
I just wanted to drop you a short note regarding Mercury retrograde. As you know I recently signed a lease agreement for my new building. The only problem was that I went against your good advice and signed the lease during the last Mercury retrograde. (Mainly because I was pressured by the real estate broker to do so).
Since that time, everything that is connected with the building has gone awry. We managed to finish everything but it has been a struggle and my nerves are shot. So maybe you could pass this info along to anyone who doesn't take the Mercury retrograde seriously. I'll NEVER sign any contract again when Mercury is in retrograde!!!!!!
By the way, one of things that has gone awry is that the phone company has given us the wrong phone number for our new business. (it was the number of an emergency room at a hospital).
