Co-Creating Your Relationships
By Maria Shaw

We've all heard the phrase, "we co create with the universe"; meaning we set our intention for something to manifest, send it out to the universe, trusting the universe will work with us and it materializes just as we had perfectly imagined.

When we enter into a relationship whether it be business or romantic, we are doing the same thing. We are co creating our reality or future with our partner. This is why is so very important that both partners want the same things and share the same visions. You can't have two people co creating something very different or there would be no relationship. There would probably be much disappointment, heartbreak and more than likely a breakup.

So if you are experiencing problems in a current relationship, it may be time to sit down with your loved one and ask them what they want to co create with you for your future together. If you find you are on the same path and want the same things, it should be fairly easy to manifest those things. However, if you find you are on opposite ends, you may need to re-examine the partnership. For example, one person wants a commitment "until death do us part" and the other wants something short term and just for fun. Well, you obviously can't co create a relationship with that person.

Sometimes, one partner will be able to see the future and visualize it very easily. The other partner may want the same thing but be challenged by fear, insecurities, issues of mistrust and abandonment from other relationships or even past lives. That partner may put up many obstacles and road blocks to co create and not even realize it. They may defend their actions by claiming they do no want to get hurt. This fear breeds fear into the trusting partner and they get easily sucked into that fear, throwing walls up as they "take on" the challenging parent's "shadow side." Even though the couple long for the same thing, they cannot achieve the loving relationship they wish for because BOTH parties need to co create. It takes two to tango. In order to create a solid relationship, both people must set their fear and old issues aside of nothing will manifest but disappointment. Sometimes an intention may need to be set to eliminate old fears before an intention can be set to co create a life together. Often, this needs to be done individually at first.

One way to start co creating the relationship you seek with your partner is to sit down and write out the things you want out of life and are willing to work on together. Talk about them, meditate together on them, visualize them and then take action to get those things. Be proactive. Think, Visualize, Communicate, Act. Even by doing little things, you are co creating your future. For example, if you want to buy a home with your mate, start purchasing things for the home even before you have it. Talk about the type of home you would like. Ask her how she would like it decorated. Visit open house and look at places you would like to live.

Rather your realize it or not, you are co creating with your partner on a daily basis. Your words, actions, thoughts and laughter all are a part of creating harmony in the future. But remember, your anger, fear, mistrust, and the like are also creating a future too, one you probably would not want to create.

It is difficult to remove old wounds, hurts from child hood and past lives but not impossible. If you don't work to remove them in one relationship, they will come up in any relationship that you care deeply about. It is those deeply emotionally and soul stirring relationships that we call our greatest loves, in which we are most vulnerable. But they are also worth working on to resolve issues.

You can manifest anything your heart desires so why not manifest together?
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Maria
