2010 Overview

There are so many amazing astrological shifts in the new year that it may take several newsletters to cover them all but perhaps one of the most influential of the for 2010 is one that everyone reading this newsletter has never experienced before in their lifetime and I do mean everyone, no matter what your age. You have never experienced the energies of the cosmos in this way before. We have a unique set of cycles happening mid to late 2010. Mars and Saturn will be both are in the sign of Libra at the same time they oppose Uranus and Jupiter in Aries. Combine this energy with their square to Pluto in Capricorn. This will be intense! Let me explain. The cycle starts this mid summer, around late July and is intensely felt on some level by all of us through September. Then the energy will lessen in intensity but still be lingering. On an individual, very personal level, we are all being asked (or should I say pushed) to make HUGE changes in our lives that we never in our wildest dreams thought we’d make or have to. At some point, you may ask yourself, how did I get to this point in my life? What the heck happened to my life and me, as I knew it? How you deal with this change in your life will depend on how well you look at your life from a spiritual perspective rather than an ego based perspective. For some who are spiritually awaken and attempt to look at these changes from a proper perspective, it will still not be easy because your personal relationships may not be spiritually driven or thinking along the same page as you. We talk a lot about higher frequencies in these newsletters and how many of you are dancing in your frequency and energy levels while your friends; family and partners are not growing with you. Some people cling to the past, because it is what they know and are afraid of change or trusting the universe. How you handle these intense pressures of breaking free, of being forced to deal with change and in some ways, what exactly will happen, will depend on your level of consciousness and spiritual growth. If you are spiritually in tune, which many of you are who are reading this, you will look at the changes you are experiencing in a very positive way and be open to what the universe wants to bring you. You will understand that you are being divinely guided. Those of you born in the 1960’s and early 70’s will come to understand the time is NOW that you are being pushed into doing the job you were born to do. A lot of changes are already occurring in our health care reform, government, currency, banks, educational systems and more. As we experience these shifts and changes in society and on an individual level, we are recognizing that the outcome is actually what we manifest. What we choose to believe will happen. The book The Secret came out a few years ago to help the world understand how important our thoughts and words are. We manifest things everyday. When you write your Law of Abundance checks, you are also manifesting. We are learning that we can create things with our minds, thoughts and spirit. What we believe can and does happen.

Over the years, many people have asked me if the world is coming to an end at the end of the Mayan Calendar in December 2012. I have always said the world will not come to an end but it will come to and end, as we know it. It will become more spiritual and as you can see, we are becoming just that. All of the structures and things we have grown to accept, believe in and trust are collapsing. I grew up in General Motors country; Flint MI. My father was in the sit down strike. The unions were always strong. We all thought when we graduated high school we could get a job at GM just by walking in the front door and we would be set for life! Not so. We cannot trust our government, our currency, the banks to be stable, the stock market, our employers, our health coverage. We cannot trust that anything we thought would always "be there" will be any longer. The common belief amongst many is if you lose your job, you’ll find another one. If you graduate college, you’ll get a better job. If you marry someone, you’ll stay married forever. We are finding that our beliefs are changing. To some, it is shocking! To others, more spiritually evolved, it doesn’t faze them as much. The world is changing. But it’s not a bad thing if you look at it from a spiritual perspective. The things we always trusted in, we can no longer. And for the most part, we trusted in the wrong things all of our lives. Now we are being forced to trust in ourselves and our inner guidance. More and more people are turning to God and saying "I trust God will make everything all right". We are being forced to trust in something bigger than the companies we work for and the banks we get our loans from. And as we trust in ourselves, God and the Divine, we open ourselves to manifesting everything we need. I believe this is one of the biggest shifts we are experiencing. It would not have happened any other way unless we were forced to! Forced by job loss, credit loss, etc. We will now place our trust in a higher power and this is where the good things will manifest from!

As our old structures fail and fall by the wayside, we will build new ones and they will be improved. Because people will no longer stand for the old worn out ways of doing things and putting belief in the wrong places and people.

About 10 years ago an economic change started to unfold mainly due to (astrologically speaking) a Jupiter/Saturn conjunction squaring Uranus which rules change. The last time we went through such a period was during the Civil war and it took a few years for a new economy to emerge. This aspect is back and it will take some time to complete. As I stated in many lectures around the country the past few years, our economy is changing from a manufacturing and service one to an economy based on knowledge, technology, relationships etc. I also predicted that we would no longer get our jobs from Want Ads or find them by sending out resumes. The labor force will be reduced and become specialized. You will find work through referrals. Businesses will not be able to survive unless they partner and co exist with other businesses. Maria Shaw and Company has already started partnerships with other businesses in anticipation of this new trend.

I wrote to you also about the huge transformation the past year or so with Pluto in Capricorn. We have not had this aspect since 1776 when our country was founded. We are in the process of a 16 years cycle that transforms our economy since early 2008. Once the change has occurred, our economy will be stronger and sustainable.

On a personal level, there are many of you feeling the effects of Saturn in Libra signaling you to end relationships that no longer support your new life and the lessons and growth you are here to experience. I speak a lot of frequency levels and soul growth. You will be meeting more and more people over the course of the next two years who will support you on your path. And although painful at times, there will be relationships; both business and personal who do not support you that must be released for your and their personal growth. Everything is changing. Nothing will remain the same. The process has already started.

This New Years Eve we have a Lunar Eclipse at 10 degrees Cancer. We also have a Solar Eclipse on January 14 at 25 degrees Capricorn. You will likely have unexpected opportunities or unexpected challenges because someone around you cannot fulfill their responsibilities. Also the New Years Eve eclipse shows that someone may be hiding something from you and not telling the truth about a matter you should know about. They may be hiding what is actually going on.

I also wrote to you before about Mars retrograde until mid March. From now and until then, you should not start anything new. This is a time to plan what you want for the next two years. Do the research. Test your theory. Educate yourself. Think of what you want from life and how to get it but do not take action until after March 10th. If you do so now, or before March 10th, you will either lose interest, change your mind or simply, the plan will not manifest. Plus we have mercury retrograde now and until January 15th so do not start anything new. Expect delays. But again, this is a powerful period to make plans for the next two years of your life! Really dig deep as to what you want from life because you can get it if you plan the next 90 days!!

Jupiter, the planet of good luck will go into Pisces on January 17th, Yippee for the Pisces! They finally get some luck! Water signs will fare the best; Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. I also predicted we would see a mass of ghost and paranormal shows pop up and my television producer friends tell me everything getting picked up by the networks and cable stations are ghost shows and psychic types. I also see more metaphysical workshops, books, seminars and the like popping up. People will be unlocking their psychic potential and trusting their inner voices like never before. This is a good thing! It ties in with what I have been telling people the last few years; that spirituality is growing. I have much more to share with you on the changes occurring in our country, within ourselves and on a society level. You will hear some more predictions at the seminars and lectures I am doing around the country in the next few months; most notably Fort Lauderdale, Virginia beach, Minneapolis, New Orleans, and more. I will also be doing more phone readings this year in the past to help people as they encounter some of the challenge and changes with the shifts coming. Don’t be scared by what is happening. Everything is happening for a reason. There is a divine plan at work here and all will work out in the end. Be still for a while and let God take over the reins in your life and allow spirit to work through you. Listen to your inner voice more and trust that you are part of a Divine plan and go with it. The past is crumbling. It’s time for a new world and a new beginning for all of us. For years I knew exactly where I’d be and what I’d be doing a year from then. I could tell you where I would be living, whom I’d be with and what radio show I would be on or where I’d be speaking. For the first time in life, I am not sure. Everything has changed so dramatically and unexpectedly in my life. It is very exciting. I can honestly say that even as a Cancer who likes certainty, there is something exciting and enlightening about the uncertainty and knowing that the universe will put me where I need to be and I will be ok. I have gotten to a point in my life that I can say; I am happy and excited about what life has to offer. I am not sure where I am going or what I’ll be doing in six months or a year or two but that’s the beauty of what’s happening astrologically to all of us. More than ever, God has a plan for us and it’s developing as we speak. Happy New Year to you all! Maria
