My Name Is Joe

Have you ever known a person who does nothing but good things and wonders why their life sucks? That was me.
"Every time I'd do something good, something bad was waiting just around the corner. Karma. So that's when I knew something had to change. I'm just trying to be a better person, my name is Earl"
Or Joe in this case.
You know, I've learned a lot recently from a lot of different sources. Oddly enough from the show; "My Name Is Earl: but also from my partner and love, Maria. The show began with the story of Earl trying to do positive things but "bad things" were waiting around the corner. No matter how hard Earl tried to lead a good life, bad always followed. This is honestly how I've felt all my life. I, thought it was funny to hear somebody else say something so similar to how I've always felt. That person being the fictional character, Earl J. Hicky. While I don't personally know the actor who portrays Earl (Jason Lee), at least not yet, I have a feeling that the Earl character is not to far off from some part of his life. I've been a lot of things in my life too; all the way from a fry cook at Burger King to a Hollywood actor to an executive producer for a network and syndicated radio show. If you've watched the Earl show, you know that Earl initially was a really bad (yet funny) guy who tried to turn a new leaf. He finally got some "good" in his life when he won a hundred thousand dollars from a scratch off ticket. Immediately after winning, he was hit by a car, then divorced by his mouthy, yet beautiful wife Joy (who Maria secretly wants to be as Joy has no problem telling people exactly what she thinks of them) while he's recovering in the hospital. It's then and there he decides that he has to change. He's got to deal with his past karma and make things right. His mind set is, he's been doing bad things all his life and that has gotten him no where so why not try the opposite. EXACTLY!!!
If you watch the show, it all centers around this karma list that Earl has written, which contains every bad thing he's ever done and now wants to make up for. I often think about what my list would consist of. Hell, I've even considered actually writing one for real. I can honestly say that my list wouldn't be very long, as I have always tried to follow the straight and narrow. Not saying I haven't hurt people in the past but ever since I can remember, I've always tried to put others first and me second. I've tried to do the right thing even when I knew it would hurt me. As long as others were happy, I'd try to be as happy as I could under whatever scenario presented itself. And believe me, I've done a lot of things that hurt me so bad that I cried for months, even years after just to make sure that, whoever at that time in my life needed me to be strong for them, could get through the crisis. Those of you who know me (and not really many people do know the real me) know that I am fiercely loyal and will defend people I care about to the death. It's funny how people look at you sometimes when you try to do good. I've noticed most people don't believe in "good" anymore and just assume you are out to screw them, but remember that to assume makes an ass out of u m e; (You and Me). I've even had one person scream in my face and say "NOBODY'S THAT NICE to me". I've actually had more problems by being nice then by being rude or on the rare occasion, mean. So why do I bother to keep being nice? Why would I put myself through hurt and pain for others to benefit from? Because just like Earl, somebody has to try. Somebody has to be nice. Somebody has to be the one who, when all seems lost, lets others know that somebody in the world loves them. Even though I do this psychic stuff and some fanatics claim this is not Christian, I'm still a Christian and proud of it. I may not act or even talk like the "real Christians" do but I am one just the same. I told you at the beginning of this that a few people have helped shaped me into a better person. One of which is "Earl". The other is Maria. I do and have done a lot of stupid things in my life but I sure must have done something really right at least once in my life to earn a woman like her. Karma!!! I do tease her a lot and make fun of her on Face book and Twitter but in a nice way, never mean. Always to kinda poke at her (somebody's got to knock her off her high horse) but all kidding aside, I've really learned a lot from her on how to, just like Earl said, be a better person. She has helped me release a lot of pain and hurt over old issues that don't matter and while I'm not completely healed from past trauma, I am on my way to recovery. I admire her, even if she does have a crush on Earl's dim witted brother Randy. So while contemplating writing my own list, I often wonder what other people's lists consist of? What would yours look like? Or, and be honest, would you even bother to write one? I'm not perfect in any way, shape or form. I'm just trying to be a better person. My name is Joe.

The eclipse in Cancer July 11th has much to do with a problem in your life that seems to worsen. You could actually feel like throwing your hands up in the air. Things do not seem to go in your favor. But whatever the problem is....it will turn around for the better! It will end up better than you could ever imagine. So stay on course.This is also an eclipse that could bring a passionate love affair or help financially. I feel many will be going through challenging money issues but help may come through mid month.On July 21st, Saturn goes back into Libra, out of Virgo for many many years. So Virgo and Pisces will see some relief as well as Sagittarius and Gemini friends. Saturn will stay in Libra, bringing challenges to that sign until it moves into Scorpio, early October 2012. While Saturn is in Libra, it opposes Uranus in Aries this month, making problems for those of you who are fence sitting on an issue. It's time to change. Stop resisting the changes. If you do not, the pressure gets out of control. On July 25th, we have a full moon, which will bring to light the answers on how best to make the changes. Most of the changes for us individually, will be centered around your jobs or our relationships. For some of us, it will be about your direction in our life; how to get where we want or need to go; and how to find the resources best to get there.The last day of the month is when the cardinal climax peaks. I will be doing the psychic fair in New Orleans that day. It should be interesting to see what happens. The peak relates to great pressure that forces change to happen; ready or not. The Gulf Oil Crisis should peak right about that time as this is part of the Cardinal Climax too as it relates to earth changes which I have forecasted will also pertain to a wicked hurricane season and crazy weather patterns. I forecasted several months ago that this would be a crazy summer. August brings more financial messes uncovered. I'll write more about that closer to August. But for now, the best advice I can give you is to be prepared to hear of lots of unexpected twists and turns. The media will be on its toes bringing us story after story as things unfold quickly on the national, economic and environmental fronts. Stay centered. Prepare of some power outages. Be ready for change. Accept change. Spend wisely. When the cardinal climax is over in 2012, the world as we know it will be transformed for the better. The harshest aspects are this summer. As I suggested before, lie low, don't allow negativity and fear to take over. Recognize change is positive in the long run and there is a higher reason things are happening. |
Loves Revolution - The Afternoon of Love

Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the un lived life of the parent.
All my words may have lead some to consider when I speak about Love that it involves a relationship with another. For the most part it does but what I would like is for you to chain your body to your heart and allow you to understand that without love for yourself there can be no love in a relationship.
The restaurant was busier than normal. People were going back and forth with platters of food while we waited 45 minutes to be seated. Everyone was in a rush. While we sat I watched a husband whisper to his wife. Next to them were two younger couples dancing inside each other eyes. They both laughed, I smiled because I shared in their warmth as it washed over me. I observed two different generations combine themselves in love. Carl Yung, a Swiss psychiatrist, was amongst the first thinkers to explore the "morning" and "afternoon" of a person's outlook on life. The morning of our lives dictates our actions. It is set on rules that subconsciously we abide by. Our need for survival takes precedence over our kindness. We are ego dominated and our goal is to get more, do more and be better than. The afternoon of our lives changes the structure of everything we believe and do. Life has a deeper meaning and thus we must explore, create and contemplate. In the afternoon of our lives we uncover our face and look at what we could not bear to look at before. In the afternoon, love matures into understanding and expansion, something we cannot do in the morning because we don't know what it means to love.
The laws of the morning and afternoon relate to that instant in our lives. For example, we cannot take the rules of the morning and apply them to the afternoon. Only one can be present the same way joy and sadness or Love and Fear cannot be present at the same time.
Last week I was playing an old Miles Davis track, his last recorded album, and while listening to it I heard something different. The way he played was different. The sound was different. After a while I sat in silence and then listened to it again, this time with my heart the same way it listens to the breeze. It was then that I embraced his wisdom and understanding for the trumpet.
He had not changed the way he played rather he discovered later in his life how to understand what he was playing. I thought he had changed his tune to please his listeners but what he did is what we will all do; alchemize our consciousness into something valuable. It is like entering a second purity where we are fed the embryonic fluid of wisdom.
The afternoon of our life is not age required. Some enter it young; some are born into the afternoon. Others take years to enter it (30s, 40s or even 60s). It does not matter how old you are. What matters is when you are ready to reveal yourself that life will take on a different meaning. No longer will it be about pleasing others and not yourself. It will be how to expand your soul and with it others will be attracted to your light.
However you choose to see your own life only you know that by revealing the depths of your spirit will you come to know its divine worth. It's time for each of you to stop placing your life, your studies and the reason you are here to satisfy the thirst of someone else. It is time for you to enter the afternoon of your life and explore the feelings that are bottled up. It is time to stop using the excuses that further suffocate the growth your soul is trying to make but cant without your permission. It is time to open your wings and venture out into the world, to free your spirit and learn your lesson.
Stop telling me, stop telling others, stop telling yourself that life is something that just happens every day until the day you leave to another place. Stop telling yourself that you are not important or that your mission here is irrelevant.
Your mission…should you choose to accept it is to save…the planet, your heart and your life. Embrace the afternoon of your life and make a difference, live your unlived life. Oh, and by the way this is for you, not the person next to you or the person you may pass this on too. This is for you, yes you!

Well, I opened my wellness center on April 1, 2010! Relevant, just like the Fools card - new beginnings!! Still doing it part-time but visualizing expanding it into a full-time operation!!
