I have a few openings at these fairs for individual readings. Please call ahead to schedule with me 810-659-6886. Your reading will include a tape, astrology, numerology, tarot and psychic. I do the half hour readings and cover everything from past lives, to love, to karma, to work, health, kids and people who have crossed over. If you can't make it to the fair, you can always call for a phone reading.

I wanted to let you know I did the Law of Abundance check on Thursday, September 16th and on Monday, September 20th I unexpectedly received a $200 refund check from my homeowner's insurance company. They had found a discount to apply to my policy that I did not even inquire about and sent me the refund unexpectedly. It was a very nice surprise.

2011 Moon Calendars are In!
 This year, we produced both the pocket size and the wall calendars. They list where the moon is everyday (what sign) and the best activities to do each day based on that sign. For example; if the moon is in Leo, no matter what zodiac sign you are, it is a good day to snatch up some deals and sales. It is also a great day to head to the casino. If the moon falls in Cancer, people will be much more sensitive. It's also a great day to spend with family because Cancer rules home and family. If you're booking a doctor's appointment, schedule it when the moon is in Virgo which rules health. The doctors will be much more thorough on the moon in Virgo days. In addition, I have listed all of the good money days which you should use when hosting yard sales, asking for a raise, going to the casino, etc. The dates to write your Law of Abundance checks are listed in the calendar too. Bewitched in Salem

"Tituba!!! Tituba!!!! How do you plead to these charges of witchcraft? HOW DO YOU PLEAD?? You do realize that your very soul hangs in the balance of hell and damnation? Do you not? I'll ask again, how do you plead?" Maria and I sit and listen at the Salem Witch Museum to a reenactment of the start of the Salem witch trials. We all know the story from 1692 about the infamous trials that of which we learned in school. Having said that however, it seems the real story of what transpired then and life in modern day Salem, is a little more in depth then our history books taught us. My involvement and interest with Salem started almost 20 years ago when I was cast in the play by Arthur Miller "The Crucible". Actually, it's ironic, there were times while working on this play, that I felt like I was on trial and not given a fair shake just as those unjustly accused in 1692. I landed a starring roll in spite of having no acting experience. The seasoned actors didn't like the fact that I came on the scene at the last minute and stole the show. They were fearful I would take their spotlight. Now, I honestly am not bragging, I did a good job with my role. However, just as in the Salem Witch Trials, fear breeds prejudice. And I felt prejudice very strongly from my "community" of actors. It was hell for me. The cast hated me so much that they actually ruined my autograph book, writing in it how much they hated me. They wrote some pretty wicked things. Not one of the actors even knew me personally! I was accused of being something I was not and condemned out of their personal fears. I could relate to the victims of the witch trials.
So, flash forward up to just three years ago and I am just the smart-ass and co host/producer for The Maria Shaw Show on the radio. Sitting in the studio I get an email inviting us out to the Salem Witch museum to do a live broadcast. Honestly, the most fun I've ever had broadcasting was in Salem that very day. I took a real shine to the city and its witches, so much so that we have gone every year since. This time however was a little more on the fun side then on the work side. Having moved up the ranks on the Maria front, from Producer to now Boyfriend/producer/co host/common law husband/sexy boy/whipping post, Maria and I have grown to love coming each October first to the Salem Inn for a few days. Our adventure this time starts at the very popular downtown restaurant "Rockafellas" to which a martini loving Maria keeps calling to everybody within ear shot RockaFELLERS!!! As in, Maria has dated a few fellers in her day. Anyway, I grab Miss Inebriated and walk her down to the Burying Point Cemetery (where gravesites date back to and prior to 1692) for a little light ghost hunting. I love to see what she picks up and what I catch on film. Now everybody who knows me (and sadly, so few really do) knows that I try to disprove bumps in the night to a maddening degree. But almost immediately, when we walk through the Burying Point's iron gate, we both hear footsteps coming ahead of us. It seemed like very heavy male footsteps by the sound, and out to the right I see what looks like a man in a dark cloak darting off to the right of the cemetery. Now, I'm in hot pursuit. Nothing!!! Notta!!! Zip!!! I looked high and low and couldn't find him anywhere. The graveyard isn't that big as it sits close to the middle of downtown. So, deciding that maybe its my imagination I take my sweet Maria by the hand and make her walk back to the gate with me. I tell her to walk exactly the way we did when we came in, trying to recreate the footsteps. My first thought is that noises were the echo of our footsteps, refracting off a tombstone. I must drive Maria crazy sometimes with my analytic side. Actually, I know I do but that's what makes her love me as much as she loves a trip to the dentist. I made her walk with me from that gate fifteen times and yet I couldn't recreate the footsteps that came before us. So I have no choice to say that I can't explain what I saw or heard.
The next day we take off for some "Maria style shopping"; (hardcore, visits in every store, scanning every shelf for a fabulous buy) through the town as well as a few exhibits. We did go to the Witch Cottage, which very clearly states on signs posted all the way up the walkway AND on the front door "This exhibit is SCARY. If you are a chicken DO NOT SEE THIS EXHIBIT!!! Did Chicken Little listen? Of course not, so I watched the entire, "Why Salem is Haunted" exhibit with what reminded me of the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. Remember when Sylvester the cat is terrified of what he thinks is a ghost and has wrapped himself around Elmer Fudd's head, shaking and covering his eyes? Well, just replace Sylvester with Maria and me with Elmer (hey wait, I don't want to be Elmer) and you get the picture of my experience in the FAKE haunted house. Then we are off to down more caramel apple martinis for the night. At some point I hear "Yeah Joe I promise that I'll go ghost Hunting in just a little bit…ZZZZZZ…ZZZZZZZZ". So no hunting for me that night. The next day is full of more exhibits including the Salem Witch Museum and the real story of how (ironically) there were no witches in 1692. However, today there are over one thousand practicing witches in Salem. We learned how to cast a spell at another exhibit. Sadly, I don't think Maria's spell worked, as I still looked the same when we came out and didn't poof into Brad Pitt.
There's a lot of ghost stories passed around Salem and we had heard a few people talking about the Ropes Mansion and how haunted it is. Now the mansion is directly across from the B&B we stay at. I posted a pic on FaceBook. It was used in the movie Hocus Pocus as the home of the incredibly hot Vanessa Shaw who plays Allison in the movie (what's with the name Shaw and the girls who bare that name always so hot?). The Ropes Mansion is a supposedly very haunted place due to some pretty terrible things that happened in it, including a girl who was stoking the fire, caught her petticoat on fire and burned to death alone in the house. As we were walking back to our B&B I saw a woman looking out at the street through a window on the left side of the Ropes Mansion. So I stop Maria and run across the street and look up at the window. Of course, nothing. I start to walk away and I see the same woman now looking out the window AT ME!!!! A little unnerving to say the least. We took a lot of shots and caught what looks like to me a little girl looking out the window. I'll post the picture here to see what you think. Now they never do say how old the girl is who burned to death was but this might be her. See for yourself and tell me what you think. Sadly the trip came to an end the next morning. Goodbye Salem until next year. I always hate leaving but like they say in Salem, always walk backward out of a cemetery so you don't take something with you. Salem has taken something from me but now I wonder if I brought something back??

October has many of us thinking about our relationships. It can be a very intense month with Venus retrograde. Venus is the planet of love and when it goes backwards, it causes havoc in our most personal relationships. This is a time when many of us will be re-thinking and re-considering our current and past relationships. Many people will be reconnecting with an old flame over the course of the next month or so. Some many have regrets over a recent breakup and want to try again. Others may be breaking a relationship off. This six-week process runs from October 8 through November 18. For single people, this is not a good period to start a romantic liaison because it will probably fizzle.
In regards to current relationships, it may be that one person feels as if they are outgrowing the other partner. And with challenging Saturn in the sign of Libra (which is ruled by Venus and rules love/relationships), it appears we get a double whammy of conflict. You'll hear of a lot of Hollywood break-ups or potential troubles in celebrites most private affairs this next six weeks. If you're in a relationship, now is not the time to argue about petty things and get caught up in power struggles. Try to avoid potentially dangerous topics now and save serious talks that could lead to arguments for after mid November.
Also on a Venus retrograde, never get cosmetic surgery done or opt to change your style. You won't like the results. Wait until after November 18th to do anything like this. Also during the Venus retrograde, I tell clients not to walk down the aisle. When you marry on a Venus or mercury retrograde, it feels like you are never truly married or there are more problems than usual in your marriage. Some astrologers say, to marry then, is a sure bet the marriage will eventually end.
On another note; During the first two and half weeks of October, we have a great cycle for clearing out junk and de-cluttering. You may even feel like you want to get rid of lots of stuff in your closets, attics, desks, etc. Between now and 19th of the month, the universe works with you on this.
The last two weeks of October we get a chance to think about our future and decide what direction we wish to head into. It's a perfect time to make a wish list and manifest what you want from life.
There's more good news too; I am sure that you are all aware of the difficult transitional times that everyone has been going though since last fall. Well, the hardest astro aspect lifts October 19th. Yippee! Now, that's not say we are completely out of the woods yet, but the Saturn square Pluto cycle is over and you will feel some sort of relief.
October 22nd brings the full moon and with it, endings of all kinds, possible for some; relationships. Give this aspect two to three days on either side as the full moon energy is still within range. These days are very important to remain calm and don't get upset with your partner if you don't want a breakup. However, if you waiting to hear from an old flame or want to drop someone from your past an note or email, do so before the full moon and you just might hear back around the 22nd.

This is a "Divine Time". Many people will be getting married on this day, thinking it will be extra lucky. Maybe it's not as significant as 7/7/07 was a few years back when gamblers flooded Vegas but 10/10/10 is a date that could have a significant impact on us individually and even world wide. Numbers vibrate to an energy. Just as you have a zodiac trait based on your birthday, each date also has a numerological trait as well. When our calendars hit a specific date, especially one with a sequence of numbers or the same sequence, that energy tends to be very potent.
10/10/10 stands for a change in fortune for the better. This doesn't always have to do with money however. It can, but more than likely it will bring some sort of good news, opportunity or luck. Look for it that day. Perhaps you will hear of an opportunity. Maybe you will make a new contact. A decision could be made in your benefit. Things can be interpreted very differently by different people. But overall, the general thought is that the energy should bring a change in fortune for the better, a new step in the right direction, etc. 10/10/10 has to do with your personal destiny. You should also seek wisdom from the ages before you; old ways of doing things, old systems, etc. This is a perfect time to get a reading or study metaphysics because it based on knowledge handed down generations ago. This 10/10/10 energy is connected to the zodiac signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius; all of the fixed signs. These signs will be most affected. But if you are not born under one of these signs, you could find one of those four will have an impact in your destiny. Associations with these signs will benefit you in some way. You may also find that you will be at the right place at the right time to receive blessings. So plan to get out and about on October 10. |
