40 Day Spiritual Birthday Cycle

I just celebrated another birthday. So have many of my friends. I seem to have lots of friends born in June and July. So I thought I would write an article about how to recognize and work your personal 40 Day spiritual cycles that begins on your birthday each year.
There are many references in the Bible about a 40 day cycle. Jesus fasted for 40 days in the mountains. He ascended after 40 days. Noah was safe on his ark for 40 days of rainfall. Obviously, Lent is 40 days long.
From an astrological standpoint, there are nine 40 day spiritual cycles within a year, which are designed to help us recognize our strengths and weaknesses, complete soul missions and experiences and become more enlightened. You may want to save this article in your files so you will be aware of the cycles when they start the day of your upcoming birthday.
Here are the cycles and what to expect during each:
Your Birthday – Day 40 after your birthday - Cycle #1
This cycle is very good for new beginnings. It has much to do with your goals and ideas. It is a time to prepare and plan. The emphasis is on "YOU" and what you hope for in the future. It's similar to a period much like the New Year when you make resolutions. During this period, you should be making preparations for the things you want to manifest over the course of the year. On a mundane level, let's say you want a new job. This is the time you would start preparing by updating a resume, talking to potential employers or looking into educational classes to enhance your background.
Day 41 to 80 - Cycle #2
During this period, you will begin self-improvement goals. You have a very powerful period here to project what you want to achieve. This is also the time to make positive changes as the universe is working with you. You have the ability; drive and determination to make the changes you seek, happen.
Day 81 to 120 - Cycle #3
During this period, your relationships may evolve. Some may end and new ones may take their place. Be very aware of the people who enter your life during this phrase, as they could be quite beneficial in some sort of growth, learning experience or enlightenment. Even the challenging relationships give you a chance for spiritual growth. This is a wonderful time for growth and embracing new experiences that enrich and shape your attitude, perception and life.
Day 121 to 160 - Cycle #4
This cycle gives you the opportunity to lay a solid foundation with the projects you have already begun. You can strengthen the relationships you are in and also the goals you are working toward will become more concrete. You will also let go of things, people and situations that are no longer valid in your life.
Day 161 to 200 - Cycle #5
You will have a lot of will power to create the type of life you want. This is the perfect time to strengthen any weak areas of life. You will recognize what needs to be done and how best to do it. Your will power is strong. You feel confident and up the challenges.
Day 201 to 240 - Cycle #6
Many of your goals will be highlighted. Different parts of your life will become illuminated so you can clearly see what is working and what's not. This is a time for great expansion and accomplishment. You will let go and allow spirit to work through you more than ever. This is a period in which your faith in God is very strong.
Day 241 to 280 - Cycle #7
You become very aware of who you are and where you are going. It's as if a light bulb goes off in your head and you see things as they truly are, not just as merely wish they could be. Things fall into place. Karma happens. Fate takes over. Destiny is the name of the game now. You may also become very social and meet many new people on your path. It's a very good time to meet up with members of your soul group as well.
Day 281 to 320 - Cycle #8
From the tests and challenges you face, you will grow spiritually. You see things in a new light and embrace change. If you allow yourself to look at pressure from a spiritual vantage point and understand how it helping you grow, this could be a most productive time. This is the best time for spiritual truths to be revealed. However, you could feel more challenges during this period too.
Day 321 - Cycle #9
This is the day of real "knowing". Your spiritual side is very strong and open. Your third eye is open. This may be a very emotional day. You will realize your strengths, weaknesses, limitations and goals. You will also have much insight into your life path.
The five remaining days in the calendar before your birthday are meant to be days of rest before your next solar return, in which you will set new goals for the year. There will be new themes and new journeys as you begin your solar return on or within a day of your birthday. |

The eclipse on July 1, is in the sign of Cancer
July 15 is the full moon in Capricorn with eclipse energy still trailing it.
This Eclipse On July 1st involves Sun, Moon, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto in a Grand Cross, thus presenting challenges. I have felt that this eclipse would be the harder one out of the summer 2011 eclipses to deal with. Six squares and 3 outer planets are involved and mark a time when we can evolve very deeply as there are many lessons to learn on a soul level. Whatever issue you are dealing with emotionally or relationship wise, is probably where the spiritual growth will rise out from.
The signs are pointing us to find deeper heart and soul connections now. We all want love and happiness. So the universe is working overtime to help show us the light. If you are in a bad relationship, it may get worse during this period. The universe is trying to show you that this is not the right type of relationship for you. Perhaps you will be forced to make a move away from the negativity. Then once you have done so, the eclipse brings in a new and wonderful relationship.
You will probably also notice during this month that you are seeking a safe and comfortable place to live, work or love.
If you do not have these things in your life, you will be fearful, blocked, have low energy and feel out of sync; almost disconnected from the world. The eclipse wants to help you to understand what is missing and what you need to let go of so you can find the happiness you seek.
For some of you, you may not feel very certain about anything right now. You may feel like you are just "out there" and not sure about where you are going or headed these days. You can't count on anything or anyone to be there. How many of you are feeling this way now? This is where the new moon/eclipse in Cancer comes in.
During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon is interrupting the energy flow from the sun to the earth. Afterward we have the chance for a consciousness with new possibilities. And even though at first, you may feel more insecure about life, love and everything in between, things are going to change for the better because of the eclipse. However, you need to allow those feelings of uncertainty to happen. Don't repress them. Allow them to manifest so you can release them and do some inner work. If you feel you need counseling at this time, this is the perfect period to do so, especially if you're working on inner child issues and relationship issues.
Then after the eclipse, we have the Full Moon in Capricorn on the 15th that gives you more clarity into your situation and you can come up with concrete ideas to make your goals a reality. You will be more emotional on the eclipse July 1st in the watery sign of Cancer and more logical on the full moon in Capricorn (earth sign). So resolution is coming.
As with any eclipses, do not judge them or allow yourself to get anxious during their visits. Once they pass and you can see what gifts and changes they want to bring you, one can better assess their true meaning and purpose. Suffice to say, it will be an interesting summer. Hang in there and look at things from s spiritual perspective. That's what all of this is about anyway. Life needs to be shaken from time to time so we can grow. |
