I have mixed feelings about August. On one hand, I am super excited about our shows in New Orleans and Minneapolis the next two weeks but a little nerved up about some of the potent and explosive cosmic energies plus mercury retrograde starting now through the 26th. But with everything, comes a reason and a lesson so I guess, like everyone else I am forewarned and forearmed too!

We have some interesting things to share in this newsletter. If you haven't already read about my astro news for much of August, please hit my former newsletter in the website archives to get the lowdown. I have more news today as well. Chris Castro shares his metaphysical musings and we have more updates on our two upcoming shows with more specials for StarScopers, especially in Minnesota. A New Beginning

This year has been a discovery in love, dreams and wisdom. I guess this is something I have been secretly longing for. With faith in my heart I know that one day I would see life; its no wonder that it has found me. Often though the longing for life finds me at the most unpredictable and inconvenient times. but then again when is it ever convenient to get a flat tire?

Longing is a door slamming open as the one behind explodes apart. I am never prepared. As someone walking the path of spirit I am supposed to say "oh me, I never fall. I mediate for at least six hours a day..." but that would not be the person called Christopher Lawrence speaking his truth to you.

There is no preparation for the way life throws me against the wall fearlessly kissing my lips and whispering with a longing ache in its tone "tell me what your heart dreams for". I recognize the voice because it is my own. Sometimes I leave my hearts voice behind because I am afraid of what it might say or remind me of. I have left behind promises I secretly made with my soul in a place called Heaven and the time has come when I can no longer trade away dreams for a promise of safety. The power of the last statement bares another stroke of the keyboard.

I can no longer trade away the pieces of my dream for the promise of safety.

I pray every morning before my feet touch the earth. Part of me is anxious to begin the day, explore the world but in the silent moment between life I feel a cool intermingling of peppermint and sunlight across my brow. It is God telling me that life is okay and whatever I decide in my life is my choice but my soul understands that I have to write, teach and live with laughter. My soul understands that this body and mind is just an expression of something coming through me because nothing is from me.

I am surprised by the wave of longing that sweeps over me. It feels like butterflies swirling around in my stomach. It is an untamable emotion. It takes my breath away, my lips move, "I want to live...I want to live..."

The mind rewinds life with could have's or should have's, memories my Egoist self uses to maintain its control over my spirit but, the longing seduces me with a blueprint embedded in the cells of my body. I have always been the person to go to a store just to look at pens, feel the weight and balance but it has literally taken me thirty years before I picking one up and deciding to write. My cells, my soul have always nudged me, speaking in such a low tone that it was barely audible. I lost my connection with myself, the ache of being someone I am not, living faithfully to the comfort of life. How many people live being afraid to step outside their comfort?

I am sipping on a hot cup of Coffee which I now only resort to weekend drinking looking out into the back yard tracing the lines of a tree, its branches pushed back by what looks to me like bobby pins. The tree is tall but slim. It reaches out to me with a soothing sway though the breeze has long left us. I feel the tree curling around me, its branches holding me with love. The separation from who I remember I was to the belief that I am this human with this human body to what I understand that I and the tree are one and there is only one.

The depths of intimacy has so much depth, depth we are afraid to encounter. I am beginning to understand intimacy in each moment. When I meet the longing for life I asked "what do you want from me?". Life responded "tell me what your heart aches for. I want to know what makes your soul long for."

I want to sit with life, be surprised together, waiting for the moment we allow our hearts to make passionate love. There has been moments when I was afraid that longing would ditch me, use me for one night as I have done so many souls in my past before meeting my soul mate Avianna. I was afraid that once I allowed it into my body, heart and mind it would never come back.

It has been six years since I transformed my life into a journey I had not packed for. I had no plans beyond what I could see. Should I trust the longing to live in love, to touch my heart in ways I had never done before? Before this day I grew tired of running away from the longing of life, from my dreams from people who inspire me. I was tried of the games I played and the manipulation I used to master the game and suddenly I was in a room pulling the colors from the familiar shapes of darkness. My Ego hoped my legs would get numb from standing in the same place but with a touch of love I reached for the light switch and then the door knob.

Tell me what your heart aches for? You don't have to dream any longer Chris. Live it.

I don't want to hear a dysfunctional story about comfort or security. I don't want to hear that it is not worth it. I don't want an explanation about the current situation happening in the world. I want to see life taking hold in slow motion and brushing its heart against yours. I want to see the spiral of love make you dizzy to the touch. I want you to long for life. I want you to feel the heat in the air, an unhurried journey through the heart.

Linger for a moment and tell me what your heart sings, tell me the depth of intimacy, tell me what life taste like, tell me that you must move towards your spirit. Tell me something that will transform you life as I will share with all of you what transformed mine.
