Our fall Psychic fair season starts this Saturday September 10 in Lapeer MI at the Center Building and then on Sunday, we are at the Port Huron Comfort Inn. Both fairs run 11a.m. to 5p.m.

I still have a few openings for Port Huron. Our other readers take walk-ins. We'd like to welcome new readers; Tom, Malia and Zarria. Your favorites will be back too!

Our travel agent Linda tells me, even though final payment on the Mayan Ruins Cruise is due in October, she still may be able to get you a spot on the sailing with us. So far, we have about 60 guests porting out of New Orleans January 9th. We hope you join us!

One of our guest speakers is of course, Joe Lawson, who will talk on the paranormal. He shares this recent article about his thoughts, on one of the fastest growing businesses and interests; paranormal research:

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about L.P.I. and where the company is going and how it fits into the mass collage of ghost hunting groups. The media that is producing shows left and right. Let me be clear about the paranormal hunting frenzy, I've always done this, ALWAYS! This is not a fad or a hobby; I've always looked for explanations of things that go bump in the night. I love solving things for people and putting their mind at ease, or on the flip side of that, confirming what they thought, saw, felt, etc…. Never in my wildest dreams, did I ever think that I would be doing this on a professional level, much less, organize a group of gifted people and lead them on nation wide hunts with groups.

I remember back in 2000, I was at a job that I hated and was sitting at my desk talking to a co worker. Being the blunt Sagittarius that I am, I was telling her how much I hated it. She asked me a question that I've never forgot and in a way ended up changing my life. "Well Joe, if you could do anything in the world what would it be?" Without hesitation I answered, "I want to go out to haunted places. I want to find out what's going on and see if there is a logical explanation. I want to help people that have had experiences and give them a person to turn to". Needless to say, she pretty much looked at me like I had two heads and didn't offer too much advice after that. I've never forgotten that conversation and had a gut feeling that I'd remember it always, in the back of my mind. I did and now is the time that I put my words into action. Funny thing is, I always follow this mantra. "It's not on my time table, it's on God's." Believe me, that's not an easy mantra to follow as I'm pretty impatient about some things.

So we flash forward eleven years and here I am, taking people on hunts across the nation and proving or disproving hot spots and letting people see both sides of the coin. See, that's my problem with other groups or TV shows. They are trying so hard to disprove things are not paranormal or prove that EVERYTHING is a ghost no matter how questionable their "evidence" is. Some of these folks are out there feeding their own egos. I watch the shows just like everybody else but I always thought, geez, L.P.I. doesn't really fit into any of those molds.

What I did realize was that L.P.I. was here to help in a different way; by finding out the source of what was going on. By that I mean, on the national investigations we would take a known paranormal hot spot and see what kind of evidence we could come up with which is pretty much what all the other groups are doing. Where we sort of bend the curve is by using my wife (the ever beautiful Maria Shaw Lawson) who acts as the medium for our group and utilizing Avianna's (yes, she's beautiful too, I just don't want her husband to beat me up) psychic ability to pick up what happened at the particular site. Hopefully, they can maybe tell us what even the history books don't share. Perhaps information was lost in time as it was handed down too.

This is where Chris (Avianna's beautiful husband, but I don't want her beating me up either) and I try to use technology to help corroborate what the girls are picking up by using the latest technology on the market, to back up their claims (or at least that's what I tell Maria so she will let me buy new ghost hunting equipment. Hey, fair is fair. She drops a LOT of coin at TJ Maxx, I figure it's only fair. Honestly, and you can ask them this, I don't just automatically believe what Maria or Avianna is picking up is always accurate. I squeeze them for a lot of information as to why they are saying what they are and I can be very demanding about detail (they haven't let me down). So they pick it up and Chris and I prove it with EMF meters, K2 meters and whatever else we have on hand.

This is what separates us from the others as we do a lot of this for clients who lost loved ones. I pick up what the girls are laying down so to speak. A lot of clients who have loved ones on the other side need closure or just to know they are okay.

One more last word; sometimes the knowledge of what "really" happened before someone passed over is so very important. This happens a LOT!! We get a lot of clients who have no idea what happened to their loved one and a lot of times we can help fill in the gaps so to speak. Heck, we even had one woman communicate to her grandmother through Italian by using Maria as the conduit and the meter verifying what the granddaughter was saying. Maria may be half Italian but other then, the talking with the hands thing, can't speak a lick. So I sort of sat down the other day and thought about our company logo, is it a woman in the mirror/or is it a skull? And the company motto. "Take a closer look". It doesn't just mean look at the company logo closer. It means take a closer look, as the veil between the dead and the living is getting thinner.

The week ahead should be a nice one especially since we have a pleasant aspect between the sun in Virgo and Jupiter, in fellow earth sign, Taurus. Basically this means there are lots of opportunities until the weekend for growth, expansion and happiness. It's a perfect time to learn something new, grab an interesting book that will really open your mind to new ideas and even travel to new places you've never before. This lucky aspect should help many of you who have been through a tough summer, to regain a positive outlook and at the very least, some hope.

However, there is another aspect I still need to warn you about. There is still deception in the air as Mercury is opposite Neptune. It's easier for others to deceive you or perhaps you may be a little confused about your direction or options. Wait until you feel more confident before you make a big decision. If anyone is pressuring you to do something, you are not sure of, hold off for the next few weeks, before giving them an answer. And first and foremost, trust your gut feeling. Things that appear to be very logical now, could actually be quite deceptive.

But if you know exactly what you want from life, now is the time to go after it! You are in a very lucky phrase to get what you want September 6th through the 14th. This aspect is called Venus sextile Mars. Many times we don't know what we really want so the universe doesn't know what to do with us or what to bring us. But if you are sure on what you want to accomplish, the universe will work with you. Set your intentions, say your novenas and go after your dreams!

In addition, this aspect is also good to draw love and money to you. Now this doesn't mean, a new relationship or extra cash will fall in your lap. Opportunities may be presented but you will have to go after them! Be thankful for what comes up during this period. You will need to take action. Don't let this lucky phrase pass you by. Even if you receive a small blessing, be thankful!

The lucky planet Jupiter went retrograde August 30th and will move forward December 26th. During this period, you will probably be reviewing finances and investment ideas. This is a period for internal growth rather than working with the outside factor. It's a great time to revamp your business plan, reconsider a relationship, review your life and get your ducks in a row. A lot of progress can be made toward future success these next few months as you take time to review things. If in the past, you missed an opportunity or passed on one, now's your second chance. The same opportunity may present itself again in the next few months.

Also, many times, we may hold onto a dream for a long period. But this Jupiter retrograde may cause us to look at a different route or journey. Allow this to happen. Do not be so hell bent on sticking on an original plan if your gut is telling you to look at new alternatives. Mostly anything presented to you now, is a positive option. Consider all of your options. It's okay to change course because the new course may be better!

The Full Moon on September 12th at 5:27 AM EDT happens in the sign of Pisces. Listen to your dreams as they could be prophetic. Many things come to light, especially for Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius and Gemini. Wherever Pisces falls in your chart, is the area that will be highlighted.

The Sun moves into Libra on September 23rd at 5:05 AM EDT. Autumnal Equinox. A chart for this time is used to view world events for the next three months. The two most important significators in this horoscope are: The Sun in hard aspect to Uranus and Pluto, and Moon/Mars Conjunction Trining Uranus. The Sun stimulating the Uranus/Pluto Square shows that the old ways of solving problems will be discarded out of necessity. With Venus (money) Conjunct Saturn (debt) in Libra (harmony and balance) in the 2nd house (money and debts) we will be preoccupied with financial matters. However, with Mars (initiative) Conjunct the Moon (the public) Trining Uranus (unique events) in the 8th house (revenue from assets), we will see a new creative approach to solving universal financial issues.
