The Enchanted Soul Return to the product information page. Chapter 4 (Excerpt) Eclipses What is An Eclipse? Eclipses shake up our lives. Most people are only aware of an impending eclipse if the TV weatherman points it out. But eclipses are more than just a phenomenon in the sky. The position, degree and sign an eclipse occurs in, will tell us what kind of an affect it will have on us personally. Yes, there are good and bad eclipses. I really shouldn't use the word "bad". Maybe tough is a better choice. Because in some way, shape or form, all eclipses have a positive effect on us anyway. Sometimes an eclipse causes energy that creates crisis in our lives. Through that crisis, we grow or complete something. They push us off the fence. We cannot be indecisive any longer about an issue or decision when an eclipse is near. Say, for instance you hated your job but couldn't quit because you didn't have another lined up. You were miserable and knew you should look elsewhere for employment. An eclipse's energy could create challenges in your position. You could get fired. The company may file bankruptcy. You may be forced out. The end result would likely be a better job and a happier you! Eclipses nudge us along. It's as if the hand of fate is pushing us. By this time you don't have a choice. The ability to make your own decision is taken away from you. Eclipses bring a change of status; death, birth, endings, relocation and new relationships. Yet, nothing happens on an eclipse that hasn't already begun. The handwriting was on the wall weeks and even months before. The wheels of motion had already started turning. That's why I tell clients, they'll get some sort of preview as to what an eclipse is bringing beforehand. If you're constantly arguing with your boyfriend, when an eclipse hits, it could create a break up. If you're considering suing someone, the first court date may be on an eclipse. If one falls on or close to your birthday, the following year of your life will be very interesting, exciting and climatic. One important thing to remember is you should never "act" or make decisions on an eclipse. Listen first to what the universe is telling you and then respond accordingly. You may not have all of the facts. Do not initiate. Do not jump to conclusions or rush into anything. Sit back and wait until the eclipse has run its course. Then proceed. The aftermath of an eclipse usually occurs within three weeks to three months. Others astrologers claim it takes an entire year for the drama to play out. I have noticed that most of the energy occurs ninety days after and three weeks prior. Sometimes an eclipse can be troublesome to a person's health because of the disruption in solar energy. A friend's father had a stroke on the eclipse in June 2002. My father died on an eclipse in 1997. So did Princess Diana and Mother Teresa. John F Kennedy Jr.'s plane went down on another. You always hear of tragic events taking place around this time. That's because the media only reports tragedy and crisis. But many good things happen on eclipses. I landed a great television position on an eclipse. Good news floods in. There's a flurry of calls, letters and communication. Eclipses bring what is needed like a promotion or a proposal, a new idea perhaps. There's important news coming that can change your life. If your lover says they're leaving you on an eclipse, they mean it! It's no joke. If you hear a rumor around an eclipse, it's probably true. Listen up! Sometimes, eclipses bring subtle news and mysterious messages that take patience and time to figure out. You get bits and pieces of information. More details come as time passes. That's why you shouldn't take action or make rash decisions until all of the news is out. An eclipse occurs about every five and half months and the same eclipse (in the same sign) returns every nineteen years. A new moon eclipse is gentler than a full moon eclipse which brings everything to a head. People born under the sign of Leo are the most affected by solar eclipses because the sun is their ruling planet. Those born under the sign of Cancer are affected by lunar eclipses because they are ruled by the moon. Solar eclipses affect the men in your life and the lunar ones affect female relationships as well as the home and family. |
